A&L Great Lakes Laboratories, Inc. is an independently owned and operated agricultural and environmental laboratory located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The laboratory occupies an 18,000 sq ft facility, and employs over 45 professionals and technicians.

A&L Great Lakes Laboratories was established in 1976 by Mr. Don Ankerman and Dr. Richard Large to provide agricultural analyses to the Great Lakes region. The A & L Vision was to develop a regional network of laboratories, and the A&L Group eventually expanded to nine locations in North America. A&L Great Lakes Laboratories became an independent lab from the A&L Group in 2002, but still benefits from cooperative efforts with the other regional labs.

Initially established to provide independent soil sample analysis quickly and at a reasonable price, A&L Great Lakes continues to expand its analytical capabilities to include many types of sample matrices including soils, plants, feedstuffs, fertilizers, waters, wastewaters, manures, composts, biosolids, and hazardous wastes. The lab’s testing capabilities include a wide variety of organic and inorganic parameters.

A&L Great Lakes Laboratories makes an annual commitment to acquire new equipment, develop software based on our client’s needs, and upgrade the laboratory facility, in a continuing effort to provide quality analyses for our clients. Our Agricultural and Environmental Divisions’ testing capabilities have made A&L Great Lakes Laboratories your one-stop lab.
